Buon compleanno CityVision.
Tre anni fa, in maniera del tutto indipendente e con tutti i requisiti di una vera e propria start-up, CityVision si è proposta come il punto di riferimento per chi vuole rappresentare una visione. Una piattaforma originale, che grazie ad un team di architetti e creativi, innesca nuove dinamiche urbane scegliendo come proprie armi pubblicazioni che sovvertono il senso classico dell’editoria, nuovi format di talk dinamici, un database unico di visioni sul futuro delle città, padiglioni sperimentali e strategie urbane originali.
Con un taglio innovativo, una grafica esplosiva e grande entusiasmo, CityVision festeggia ora il suo terzo compleanno con un nuovo importante evento.
Sabato 7 Settembre 2013 alle ore 18.00, in collaborazione con NuFactory e all’interno del festival internazionale di Urban Art OUTDOOR, presenterà negli spazi del Museo dell’Ara Pacis, Sick & Wonder / Best Act, il più importante evento annuale del laboratorio urbano romano. Giunto alla sua quarta edizione, il festival OUTDOOR ha innescato un meccanismo di riappropriazione degli spazi urbani come luogo di incontro, scambio, dialogo culturale e ritrovo intergenerazionale. OUTDOOR diviene così una piattaforma privilegiata per interagire con altre forme di espressione creativa. Tra queste un ruolo fondamentale è svolto dall’architettura. Da qui la scelta di affiancarsi a Cityvision. Intorno all’undicesima edizione del PECHA KUCHA NIGHT^TM ROMA la serata vedrà avvicendarsi talks di blogger, galleristi, opinion maker, architetti, fino a giungere alla cerimonia di premiazione del concorso internazionale di idee Rio Cityvision Competition. Primo premio del concorso per Donghua Chen dalla Cina con il progetto “Ceu de Janeiro” selezionato, tra i 125 gruppi provenienti da tutti e 5 i continenti. I progetti del concorso sono stati valutati da una giuria internazionale d’eccezione composta da Aleandro Zaera-Polo, Jeffrey Inaba, Jeroen Koolhaas, Hernan Diaz Alonso, Pedro Rivera e Cristiano Toraldo Di Francia. Durante la serata verrà inoltre presentato il numero speciale di Cityvision Magazine. Un numero ricco di contenuti, ampiamente dedicato al tema annuale Sick & Wonder attraverso rubriche, servizi fotografici, illustrazioni e progetti realizzati in esclusiva che affiancheranno un’ampia rassegna sui risultati de concorso internazionale Rio CityVision Competition. Un’intera sezione darà spazio a interviste esclusive ai membri della giuria del concorso, mentre un inserto speciale presenterà una raccolta degli IQ papers elaborati in esclusiva per Cityvision dall’Istituto Quasar.

Happy birthday CityVision.
Three year ago, independently and with all the requirements of a real start-up, CityVision proposed itself as the reference point for anyone who wants to represent a vision. An unique platform, that thanks to a team of architects and designers, rises new urban dynamics through editorialprojects that subvert the traditional sense of publishing, through new format of dynamic talks, through a database of future visions on the city, experimental pavillions and original urban strategies. With an innovative slant, explosive graphics, and great enthusiasm, CityVision is now celebrating its third birthday with a new big event.
On Saturday September 7, at 6 pm at Ara Pacis museum in Rome, CITYVISION, in partnership with NuFactory and OUTDOOR international street art festival, will present Sick & Wonder / Best Act, the most important annual event curated by the roman based urban lab for contemporary architecture. The OUTDOOR Festival, now in its fourth edition, has raised re-appropriation of urban spaces as a place of meeting, exchange, inter-cultural and inter-generational dialogue. OUTDOOR became an unique platform to interact with other forms of creativity. Among these, the architecture is certenly playing a key role. This explains the partnership with CityVision. During the eleventh edition of the PECHA KUCHA NIGHT^TM ROMA the event will feature bloggers, gallery owners, opinion makers, architects, to arrive to the Rio Cityvision Competition Awards Ceremony. The first prize goes to Donghua Chen from China with the project “Ceu de Janeiro” selected among 125 registered groups from all five continents . All projects of the competition were judged by an exceptional jury panel composed composed by Aleandro Zaera-Polo, Jeffrey Inaba, Jeroen Koolhaas, Hernan Diaz Alonso, Pedro Rivera e Cristiano Toraldo Di Francia. During the event will also be presented a special issue of Cityvision Magazine. A new issue full of contents, widely devoted to the Sick & Wonder annual theme through sections, photos, graphics and esclusive projects to come up beside the results of Rio CityVision International Competition. A full section will provide exclusive interviews to the jury members, while a special dossier will present the collection of IQ papers exclusively processed for Cityvision by the Quasar Institute – Design University of Rome.
