THE AWAKENING OF CONTEMPORARY

CityVision mag and the Rome CityVision architectural competition were developed in response to the state of contemporary architecture in this eternal city. Rome’s rich past and strong identity is without a doubt a great fortune, yet like an apprehensive mother it risks suffocating with her loving embrace, her grown up sons that wish to now prove themselves in- dependently. Instead of enviously watching our European peers as they perfectly integrate their historic faces with their contemporary ones, we want to take action. We want to stimulate new ideas and give voice to the visionaries that will create a new contemporary vocation for Rome.
