On November 22nd 2013 at 7pm Studio-X Rio of Columbia University NY will open the exhibition “Cityvision Competititons” which will illustrates the results of the four international competitions about the future of Rome, Venice, New York and Rio de Janeiro.

Since 2010 the italian architecture center Cityvision creates original and international competitions challenging architects, engineers, designers, students and creative worldwide to develop visionary urban proposals improving the connection between historical, present and future part of the city with the aim of fostering a critical evolution of the architectural historiography.

Through stunning images and new video contents “Cityvision Competititons” will present a selection of 21 pictures took from the winning proposals.

The exhibition will focus on what were attitudes and strategies can guide the human space in the Future facing the mutation of that society which represents their self. In undertaking such a way, the four competitions of Rome, Venice, New York and Rio de Janeiro formed a “Test bench” to put in practice the idea about the future, following innovative thematic research such as “Past Shock” and “Sick and Wonder”.

During the venue it will be possible to view or buy the new Sick & Wonder pack collecting this year annual thematic Cityvision research.

Il 22 novembre 2013 alle 19 lo Studio-X Rio della Columbia University di New York inaugurerà la mostra “Cityvision Competititons” che illustrerà i risultati dei quattro concorsi internazionali sul futuro delle città di Roma, Venezia, New York e Rio de Janeiro.

Sin dal 2010 Cityvision, centro d’architettura italiano con base a Roma, organizza concorsi internazionali dal taglio originale invitando architetti, ingegneri, designers, studenti e creativi di tutto il mondo a sviluppare proposte urbane visionarie allo scopo di migliorare il nesso tra la parte storica, presente e futura della città contemporanea.

Attraverso immagini mozzafiato e nuovi contenuti video “Cityvision Competititons” presenterà una selezione di 21 tavole prese in prestito dalle proposte vincitrici.

La mostra porrà in evidenza quali siano stati gli atteggiamenti e le strategie capaci di accompagnare lo spazio dell’uomo nel futuro, confrontandosi anche con il mutare delle società di cui sono specchio. Nell’intraprendere tale strada, i quattro concorsi su Roma, Venezia, New York e Rio de Janeiro hanno costituito il banco di prova per mettere in concreto la propria idea, seguendo dei temi di ricerca innovativi come “Past Sock” e “Sick&Wonder”.

Durante l’evento sarà possibile visionare o acquistare i nuovi special pack Sick&Wonder che raccolgono la ricerca annuale 2013.
