Grand Canal
The city seen from the top has a beautiful canal with wonderful curves, which are not possible to be seen at ground level by the human eye. So why not make another view of the city? Why not look at Venice from above?
When looking at the map of Venice, we see that the city´s design is unique, the great canal, an S shape, which can only be seen from above.
This symbol could be the city’s new postcard. Visitors and residents will now have a new panorama of the city, which until now has only been seen by architects planners, or curious. The goal is to make the tram stations public places, but not only as a passage way, like the new transportation system, the trams, which do not impair the humanity’s heritage because their stations will be sea bound, with the ports of vaporetti
The stations are summarized in blocks of approximately 100m ² with elevators. The stations (ports) were thought to be more than a place of passage, to be the place to visit, the meeting point of the city, where education and culture co-exist, therefore, at the stations will be implanted theaters, playgrounds, museums, cafes and library each with it’s unique characteristic, because in Venice there’s no place like the other.
