Sick and Wonder! This is the situation which have many cities in the world, on every continent, in every state. One of these cities it’s Rio De Janeiro. The city is famous for carnival, for Cristo Redentor statue, for Copacabana and Ipanema beach. On the other hand it is know unfortunately for the degradate condicion of favelas, for criminality, illegality and low public hygiene. We remain amazed by disgust (Sick&Wonder). Infinite dichotomies into a not big area: good&evil, rich&poor, legality&illegality, centrality&periphery. What could happen in the future? Which could be a plausible situation? Since the global warming threat the coasts, I imagine a dramatic situation where the sea level swallows the beach (Wonder), together buildings of high society. The services, the activity, the power palace, the housing, all are submerger from water. Nature is resumed square kilometers of seashore. As a result the skyline of the city change its DNA. The only areas recognizable are the hills that surround the city, like the Sugar Loaf and the Corcovado. Favelas are located just in these hills (Sick). These areas aren’t affected of rising water. This is a new paradoxical situation for the city. Rich people becames new homeless, and they must work together with the inhabitants of favelas. Large sums of capital and workforce in collaboration for the construction of a new city. This maker for a social upheavel. Despite this, the humanity will able to adapt at the new situation, as has always been the history of evolution. This wiil lead to a new urban model, both social and morphological. Everythings starts from the beginning. The cellular model of favelas is conceptualized. Disintegration and aggregation of this cellular model with a new order in an urban system a large scale lead new design clear, functional and operative. This aggregation origin to new slab buildings, where you take place all daily activities, live, work, entertainment, culture. Every slab building is connected to the other slab buildings with a link grid. A new city like a network. It isn’t only a physical connection, but also a network of information and comunication. Comunication will be ever more part of everyday life. This will lead to exasperation of information. Everything will be social, including building and city. Like a tablet, each fellow with their cultural background becames an “app” for the community.
